The Utah Valley STEM Foundation was founded in 2017 to promote STEM education among elementary, middle, and high school students in the Utah Valley. Based in Provo, the foundation founded FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team 6844, which competed and won the highest seeded rookie award at the world championships in Houston.
The foundation is now working to sustain FRC 6844 as well as create new FRC, FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge), and FLL (FIRST Lego League) teams in the Utah Valley. The foundation has plans to form an additional FRC team in 2020 and hopes to eventually make robotics an accessible activity to all elementary, middle, and high school students in the Utah Valley. By coordinating with teachers, schools, companies, and the community we believe we can greatly enhance STEM learning in the Utah Valley.
If you or someone you know is interested in establishing a STEM program in your school or community, we invite you to reach out to us. We would love to continue establishing partnerships with businesses, schools, and communities throughout Utah County.
